Strom’s Farm & Bakery, an agritourism destination in Guelph, Ontario founded in 1978, offers the “From the Ground Up” outdoor corporate team-building experience. Running mid-September through October, groups of 15 to 40 navigate our 5-acre corn maze, complete leadership challenges, and enjoy fresh bakery snacks for $55 per person.

Strong teams, much like strong crops, are built with care, communication, and the right environment to grow. At Strom’s Farm, our “From the Ground Up” Team Experience combines interactive team-building challenges, fresh country air, and meaningful connection in a one-of-a-kind outdoor setting. Participants become employees of the fictional Korning Korporation, working together to navigate the pathways of Strom’s 5-acre corn maze while overcoming challenges, solving problems, and completing team-focused missions along the way.

Included Farm Activities & Outcomes
Unlike traditional corporate settings, the farm provides a relaxed and welcoming environment where barriers naturally come down and conversations flow more easily. Away from meeting rooms and screens, teams are able to build stronger relationships while sharing a truly unique experience together.

Facilitated by Martti Pajunen
Team-building activities are facilitated by IGNITE Leadership founder Martti Pajunen, who has partnered with Strom’s Farm since 2007. Over the past two decades, Martti has spoken to more than 100,000 students, educators, leaders, and organizations across Canada and the United States.
His experience includes collaborations with organizations such as the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Argonauts, colleges, community organizations, and leadership programs. Known for his warmth, humour, and practical insight, Martti creates an engaging environment where teams can connect, reflect, and grow together through shared experience.
Location, Parking & Directions
Getting to your corporate farm outing is simple. Strom’s Farm & Bakery is located at 5089 Wellington Road 32 in Guelph, easily accessible via Highway 124.
We are a short 15-minute drive from Kitchener-Waterloo and just 20 minutes from Cambridge. Visitors coming from Milton can reach us in 35 minutes, and we are under an hour away from the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
When you arrive, you will find expansive, complimentary, on-site grass parking available for all guests.
Farm Rules & Policies
To ensure a safe and distraction-free environment for your team-building event, our general policy is: No Pets, No Outside Food or Drink, No Drones.
Certified Service Animals: Certified service animals are permitted in all farm areas, including the corn maze and market. Pets, emotional support animals, and comfort animals are strictly prohibited.
No-Drone Regulation: To protect the privacy of your corporate group and other guests, the operation of recreational drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and remote-controlled aircraft is not allowed anywhere above our farm.
Outside Food & Beverages: Outside food, drinks, and personal coolers are not permitted. Your “From the Ground Up” package includes a fresh bakery snack, and additional baking is available in the market for all farm hours.
