The 5-Acre Charity Themed Corn Maze at Strom's Farm
Strom’s Farm & Bakery in Guelph, Ontario, has featured a hand-crafted 5-acre charity themed corn maze since 2002. Raising over $137,000 for local causes since 2005, this year’s 5km maze supports the Ontario Autism Program. Maze access is included with Harvest Fun admission running mid-September through October 31 (Weekdays: $12.95; Weekends: $20.45 online).
A Guelph Fall Tradition Since 2002
What began as a sweet corn farm in 1978 grew into a fall pumpkin experience in 1995. In 2002, Strom’s Farm introduced its very first corn maze. What started as a simple attraction has since become a cherished fall tradition for thousands of families across Ontario.
How We Build the Maze
Each year, our corn maze is uniquely designed by Channing Strom. Before opening day arrives, more than 200 hours of work have already gone into creating the maze.
- The process begins months before opening day, as the maze is carefully mapped on a computer grid before the corn is even planted.
- In late May, field corn is planted in two directions to create a giant living grid, and the bridge is installed in the field.
- A few weeks later, the maze pathways are marked out by hand using flags and chalk — much like lining a baseball diamond.
- When the corn reaches about 10 centimetres tall, Team Strom comes together to carefully hoe out the pathways by hand.
- This year’s design features over 5 kilometres of winding paths and interactive adventure.

Charity & Community Impact: The Ontario Autism Program
Since 2005, Strom’s Farm has also used the corn maze as a way to give back to the community by partnering each year with a different charitable organization. Together with our guests, we have raised more than $137,000 for incredible local causes.
This year, we are proud to partner with the Ontario Autism Program in support of autism services through St. Joseph’s Health Centre. As guests explore our 5-acre themed corn maze, they will discover nine educational stations sharing information and stories connected to this important cause. On weekends, $0.50 from every admission ticket sold is donated directly to the Ontario Autism Program here in Guelph.

My family went to Strom farm! We have a daughter who has cerebral palsy and we want to let the staff know EVERYTHING was accessible to her with ease today. Parking located at the front. They have a multi chair bike so she could enjoy the carts with our family and ride around their track. Her walker easily fit through their corn maze with ease. We had THE BEST TIME .. thank you so much for a wonderful day that built wonderful memories that we ALL could participate in . This is probably the BEST pumpkin patch we have been to with our family . We can’t thank you enough !! The Riley’s
Really fun family fall destination with a great corn maze and children's activities (pedal cart track, wagon ride and pumpkin shooting slingshot).
Always love coming here every year for Halloween, it's really beautiful to spend time w someone by the campfire and cornfield, also a little spookie 👻🎃
One of the best corn mazes! Not spooky, just fun. Each year supports a charity, and they make the maze reflect the charity. You get a map with stars to locate; each star has info about the charity, a question, and a letter. You can learn, see how many you get right and then unscramble the letters. There is live music, drinks and snacks, a few small fires to huddle around, and an obstacle course. Great time 10/10.
The storms farm and bakery is a great place to take the family for a fun day filled with awesome adventures. The staff are great and very helpful. The games and mazes are a blast. A great selection of pumpkins and sweets in the bakery. Lots of parking and the prices are good.
Corn maze at night is always fun!
I'm sad that they are only open now for the fall season, I really loved their corn. However, their pumpkin selection is AMAZING. They are humongous, and they have SO MANY ready for your choosing! It was such a fun little outing for me, my son, and our friends to visit the farm, choose a Pumpkin and browse the marketplace.
I love Stroms! It’s such a good experience because there’s lots of stuff to do like the big corn maze! (Joel)
